Executive Biography Todd Merkin, Esq. Managing Director - Legal Todd joined The Execu|Search Group as a Managing Director to establish Execu|Search Legal. Prior to joining The Execu|Search Group, Todd served as the Managing Director of a high profile legal recruitment boutique. As a professional in the legal recruitment and consulting field since 1999, his experience encompasses associate, partner and group placements across all practice areas. Todd has successfully presided over hundreds of placements in both the national and international legal markets, and he works with over 500 law firms. These firms span elite international firms to middle market national firms to local and regional firms, as well as highly regarded boutiques. On the in house end, he works with companies in many different industries and sectors, ranging from Fortune 500 corporations and major financial services organizations to startup companies. An accomplished, highly respected name in the legal recruitment community, Todd has routinely been sought out for consultation by law firms, industry interviews, and he has also authored industry articles. Todd believes that the foundation of success begins with being passionate about his craft. "I love what I do. People hear that in my voice and see that in my body language, and that resonates with my audience," he says. "My approach to recruitment is not about short term gain or cutting corners. Todd received his law degree from the University of Miami and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, where he was a Behavioral Science and Law major.  He is an avid fitness enthusiast, foodie and sports junkie – particularly all things Miami football – who loves music, fashion and traveling.  Todd lives in East Brunswick, NJ with his wife and son. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports and volunteering in the community – with his interests focused in social programs and causes associated with children, poverty, mentoring and animal rights.
