Master’s of Science in Nursing Scholarship Purpose The purpose of The Execu|Search Group Master’s of Science in Nursing Scholarship program is to provide financial assistance to nurses working towards a Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN). The Execu|Search Master’s of Science in Nursing Scholarship offers funds of $1,500 to a student in an accredited Master’s of Science in Nursing program to use towards school-related expenses. Award $1,500 Please be aware that this scholarship will be tax free only if: You are a candidate for a degree at an eligible educational institution. You use the scholarship or fellowship to pay qualified education expenses such as tuition and fees required to enroll at or attend an eligible educational institution, or Course-related expenses, such as fees, books, supplies, and equipment that are required for the courses at the eligible educational institution. These items must be required of all students in your course of instruction. For more information on qualified expenses include: http://www.irs.gov/publications/p970/ch01.html#en_US_publink1000177991 Eligibility Nursing students who meet these criteria are eligible for the scholarship: Must be a resident of New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut Must have completed at least one semester of graduate course study by the Spring of 2010 at an accredited university or nursing school Must be able to provide proof of enrollment to a Master’s of Science in Nursing program You must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 Must have one or more years of school remaining Employees of The Execu|Search Group and the families of The Execu|Search Group employees are not eligible for the scholarship. Application Process The online application is now closed. If you have already submitted your online application, the rest of your application materials must be received by August 15, 2010. If you have already submitted your online application, the following application materials must be submitted via mail: A letter of reference or recommendation from a professional colleague or educator who has knowledge of your professional commitment, goals, and academic performance. An official copy of your current transcript - documenting enrollment in a MSN program and any coursework you have already completed.
